Inspection is vital for ensuring that finished part dimensions are in line with your original designs. Here at LL Potters, we provide a full inspection service, tailored to suit your unique needs. The initial Inspection is carried out using our VIRTEK laser inspection scanner, we are able to deliver accurate results in no time at all.

Mechanical and laser inspections have a variety of different applications. However, they are most commonly used for quality control. So what does the process entail exactly? At the initial stages of production we will take the metal blank components that have been manufactured on our punch/ laser blanking machines and are now ready for full manufacturing, they are compared to the original CAD drawing that was prepared for it. This will ensure that the ongoing stages within the manufacturing process will conform to your final product specifications in line with the design that you signed off in the first place.

It didn’t always used to be as easy as this! In the past, one product from a batch would be used as a quality control check. As a result, a large number of defective or faulty products could slip through the net – leading to a whole host of problems further down the line. Thankfully, our laser inspection scanner has well and truly made that a thing of the past. Our laser scanned inspections ensure that all measurements and dimensions are correct, allowing us to give every product our seal of approval. Laser scanning is much faster than traditional measurement methods and is much more accurate too.
